In Albertslund the Danish Housing company, BO-VEST, is responsible for the largest and most costly renovation plan for social housing in Denmark. Approximately 2200 industrialised concrete housing units will go through an urban renewal renovation.

The selected project in Avila is an urban development project in a rural area. The chosen project in Sanchidrian is going to transform an agricultural area into an urban area with more than 200 houses, annexed buildings and a golf ground.

Breda - Netherlands
The Heuvel refurbishment project in Breda involves a residential area
with a great variety of housing blocks and local facilities. The restructuring process comprises the demolition, renovation and building new houses, a new retail centre, a new school and changing an old monumental church into a multifunctional centre.

The project in Italy comprises the restructuring of an industrial area in Casale Monferrato into a mixed-use area, eco-village, with dwellings and facilities for the local community.

Dublin - Ireland
The project Tyrrelstown Housing is a new development for social housing. It comprises of the construction of new family homes including both houses and apartments in storey blocks together with communal welfare facilities including a crèche, community centre, estate management offices and a public park.

Havirov - Czech republic
The local project in Havírov comprises the blocks of dwellings which were originally built in a Stalinistic architectural style (SORELA). These buildings now have a protected status as monuments, which means that their outside appearance may not be changed. The social housing company MRA wants to improve the quality of these dwellings while realizing at the same time an energy strategic asset management.

Le Grand Chalon - France
The project is a planned intervention at the heart of “les Près-Saint-Jean” and comprises the demolition of social housing blocks, building of new social and private dwellings. Also the refurbishment of three other buildings, new setting of the lake shore, new system of pathways and roads and new organising of local services. Unfortunately this project was cancelled in early 2009.
